Shela Mobarak Wannemacher

Shela brings over 30 years of experience in early childhood education, having served in diverse roles including Assistant Teacher, Program Coordinator, Executive Director, Human Resources Director, and ECE Director at both NAEYC-accredited and Texas Rising Star 4-star programs. In 2017, she founded Be the Seed of Change, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing quality in early learning environments. Through this initiative, she supports programs in strengthening their practices by offering program assessments, professional development, mentoring and coaching, accreditation guidance, and other customized services.

Shela is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Early Childhood Leadership and Advocacy, with a research focus on enhancing quality in infant-toddler programs through leadership, reflective practice, and equitable learning environments. Her passion for elevating the ECE field is evident in her work with educators, administrators, and community stakeholders to drive systemic change and support best practices.
