Jakeena Sweet
Jakeena has demonstrated a passion for childcare since age 16 years old. She was introduced to childcare by experiencing her mother’s home daycare. Jakeena pursued employment at a local childcare center directly after high school graduation. She later accepted the opportunity to teach at a local head start center for 6 years. Jakeena became heavily intrigued with teaching children to master developmental skills based on evidenced based assessments and interventions. Throughout her time working in childcare, she recognized the impact on a person’s life when they’ve experienced quality early childhood education. Over time, Jakeena pursued undergraduate and graduate studies in Social Work. All the while, Jakeena knew for sure her purpose in life was to provide quality childcare. This goal was so embedded in her thoughts daily she began to prepare for building the childcare business plan years in advance. Every idea associated with Jakeena’s business plan was guided by scripture. Jakeena established International Kids Academy, Inc. in 2019. Jakeena currently masters the position as Community Outreach Director of International Kids Academy Inc. Today, Jakeena has the privilege to walk into International Kids Academy Incorporated and witness at risk children and children not at risk share the same quality education
