Racquel Washington
Racquel L. Washington brings over 37 years of dedicated experience to the early childhood education field, with a career marked by continuous growth, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to quality care and educator development.
Racquel has a BS in Elementary, an MS in Early Childhood Education, and is a Doctoral Candidate at East Texas A & M University. Her experience leading and advising both for-profit and non-profit early childhood education programs and faith-based programs.
Racquel provides coaching and mentoring for center staff through every step of the accreditation process (NAC, NECPA & NAEYC) and Texas Rising Star Program (TRS), ASQ, in-person and remote training, guidance & observations. She assists directors and owners with new center start-ups, including application, assessment of location, and business training.
Racquel's research interests center on supporting professionals who work in child care programs through quality professional development. She is deeply passionate about the growth and development of the teachers she trains and observes, bringing both expertise and genuine care to every professional relationship.
